how do I use accents when I type directly into the blog?

if I paste in something from elsewhere where I had used accents, they appear in the blog. But I can't figure out how to accent when I am keying it in directly.

I reckon, for what you do, you need a bilingual keyboard. There's a painful, in-the-meantime kludge solution at http://www.spanishnewyork.com/spanish-characters.html
